Obsolescence of Aries AR20 Servo Drives
Discontinuation Date: March 2017
Parker Hannifin EM&D is discontinuing the sale of Aries 2kW servo drives effective immediately due to component availability. This notice only impacts the Aries drives listed below and does not affect other models of in the Aries family.

Availability
AR-20 drives are no longer available for sale. Repairs will be supported for three to five years. Typically, Parker will offer customers a last time buy period before obsoleting a product. However, order activity for the AR20 exceeded normal forecasts and depleted remaining inventory before a last time buy notice could be distributed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Suggested Replacements
While the Aries AR-20 does not have a direct replacement, there are several products that are suitable depending on the application requirements. The Aries was designed to fit many different machine control solutions with a wide array of features. Not every feature is needed for every application so in order to select a replacement, the current installation should be reviewed in detail. The check list on the following page compares key specifications and features of the AR-20 with recommended Parker drives.
Aries: AR-13AE and AR-13SE are still available and would be the easiest replacement option as the motor feedback, software and I/O connections are identical to the AR-20s. The application would need to be reviewed for the impact of reduced current and power output available to the motor.
P Series: PD-35P exceeds the motor output requirements of the AR-20, has a smaller footprint and is the cost effective and in stock solution.
Compax3: S150V2F12I10T0M00exceeds the motor output requirements of the AR-20 and has themost features and flexibility.
