Obsolescence of GT Stepper Drives and GV L3 servo drives
Discontinuation Date: December 2017
Parker Hannifin, EM&D is discontinuing the sale of all Gemini Stepper drives and the L3 version of the Gemini Servo effective immediately due to component availability. This notice impacts all Gemini Stepper variants but only the low-power Gemini Servo drives listed below. Other Gemini Servo models are not impacted by this notice.

Availability
The products listed above are no longer available for sale. Repairs will be supported for three to five years. Typically, Parker will offer customers a last time buy period before obsoleting a product. However, order activity for the GT steppers exceeded normal forecasts and depleted remaining inventory before a last-time buy notice could be distributed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Suggested Replacements - Gemini Stepper
A direct replacement for the Gemini Stepper drives is not available. The Gemini was a premium digital stepper drive with high-end features. In many cases, the GT was applied in place of servos where the lower-cost stepper motors created an effective system price. The continued reduction of servo pricing has reduced the need for a product like the Gemini stepper. The E-AC and ZETA drives are alternatives for many applications that are using the drive-only GT versions. Both E-AC and ZETA will run the same type of 2-phase stepper motors used with the Gemini. See chart below for comparisons between the products.
