Nylon tubing, also known as polyamide tubing, can withstand higher temperatures and pressures than many other tubing options. It is often used as a substitute for metal because it is lightweight and corrosion resistant. The nylon material from which the tubing is manufactured is a polymer plastic that is constructed by repeating chains of amide groups that are bonded together to form fibers. The unique material structure of the nylon plastic tubing allows it to maintain exceptional chemical, abrasion, impact, and moisture resistance and dimensional stability.
All of Freelin-Wade's nylon tubing can be used for pneumatic nylon tubing applications.
Nylon Plastic Tubing from Freelin-Wade Features:
- Stress-Cracking Resistance: Our nylon tubing resists stress-cracking thanks to UV stabilization, which means it can be used in outdoor applications and in direct sunlight.
- Lightweight Wall: This tubing is very light, making it easier to work with and useful for sensitive applications that need lightweight tubing.
- Smaller Bend Radius: With a smaller bend radius than other types of tubing, our nylon tubes have better flexibility and can fit into complex designs.
- Corrosion Resistance: Freelin-Wade’s nylon tubing is a good option for any application that involves salt water, chemicals, or other corrosive materials.
- Temperature Resistance: Our PA tubing can withstand temperatures from -60 degrees Fahrenheit to +200 degrees.
- Chemical Resistance: Nylon tubing offers additional chemical resistance for chemicals including: solvents, alkalis, oils, grease, petroleum, and fungal growth.
- FDA Approved

Nylon Plastic Tubing from Freelin-Wade Options:
Standard Flexible Nylon TubingNylon tubing is a unique kind of tubing made from polyamide resin. This material is known for its outstanding chemical, abrasion, impact, and moisture resistance and dimensional stability. Nylon tubing is used in industries ranging from pneumatics, food processing to auto manufacturing and robotics.
D.O.T. Nylon TubingNylon D.O.T. tubing is made from nylon 11 resin, a unique material derived from castor beans, and is primarily used as break line tubing. Also known as polyamide 11, nylon 11 exhibits outstanding abrasion, chemical, impact, moisture, and thermal resistance, and excellent dimensional stability. It is ideal for use with instrumentation and pneumatic accessories that are connected to the air brake system. D.O.T tubing is required to meet SAE J844 specifications, and comes in two varieties: Type A and Type B.
Nylon High Pressure TubingHigh-Pressure Nylon tubing is for working pressures up to 800 psi. It is also a high temperature tubing, made for temperatures up to 200°F (93°C). The material is ideal for chemical and oil processing lines, tool lubricating systems, pneumatics and other applications that require high quality tubing with much higher burst ratings than typical nylon tube can provide.
Super Soft Nylon TubingFlexible nylon tubing is extruded from nylon 11 resin with a special compound added that significantly increases flexibility while still retaining the beneficial properties of Nylon 11. Nylon 11 resin, also known as polyamide 11, is a unique material produced from castor beans that exhibits outstanding impact, moisture, chemical, abrasion, and thermal resistance, along with excellent dimensional stability.
Nylon Mini CoilsNylon tubing mini coils are tough and abrasion resistant, and the coiled material provides extreme flexibility. Miniature coiled tubing is easy to handle and ideal for use anywhere high pressure is required in limited space, such as small pneumatic tools and robotic applications.
Nylon coiled tubing also offers excellent return and coil memory, and mini nylon tube coils are rated for working pressures as high as 298 psi. Unlike the full-size nylon tubing, nylon mini coils are not equipped with fittings.
Nylon CoilsNylon coiled tubing is a tough and abrasion resistant tubing that allows operators the freedom of movement because of its extremely flexibility and excellent dimensional stability. Nylon coil tubes also help unclutter work areas.
Coiled pneumatic nylon tubing is commonly used in fuel and lube applications, as well as instrumentation and secondary air systems. They are ideal for production lines, both industrial and automotive, that require long lengths, oneumatics and minimum wastage.
