Where PLCs excel at making decisions based on sensors and data, IIoT Gateways excel at aggregating sensor data and passing it on to other sources (i.e. computers, databases, SCADA systems, the Cloud, cellphones, etc.), with various methods (i.e. Modbus, MQTT, Ethernet TCP/IP, JSON, etc.). Remote Secure Routers
Remote secure routers are specifically designed for industrial use. They enable a secure and reliable VPN connection between your machine and you…or anybody you want to give access to. This means your machine can be anywhere in the world and so can you and your support!
Using the same technology that virtual conferencing software uses, access to the Internet is made either through your corporate network’s Port 80 via either WiFi or ethernet, or through a cellular connection completely independent of your corporation’s network. On the LAN side of the router you may access PLCs, HMIs, webcams, etc. through a secure portal account just as you would access your virtual conferencing software account. You choose who sees components in the field and who has access. Full client control is at your finger-tips. We offer a centralized system for universal access to control systems, panels, drives and controllers from different manufacturers. Have a favorite technician at a manufacturer? Allow them temporary access to do the work for you securely.
Firewall & NAT Gateways
Firewalls offer protection against attacks by monitoring the incoming and outgoing communication and allowing or blocking certain communication based upon its security rules. The industrial firewall for the automation engineer offers further protection by making further network segmentation easy and manageable. IP address management also becomes easier with the NAT capability that isolates the IP address of the machines to avoid conflicts with other ones installed nearby that have the same IP addresses.
